"Hello Carl, On a visit to the Jeanette Rankin Peace Center in Missoula, Montana I purchased a small black and white peace button. I have received many compliments on the small size and, of course, the timelessness of the message. Later, I thought that one thing I could do for the cause of peace is to carry buttons with me, not only passing them out to individuals who comment about mine, but looking for opportunities to let the powerful influence of this symbol speak for itself and spread the message.
The inclusion of the story of the symbol with the buttons is an added plus.
Your website was very easy to navigate, and purchase was painless. Thanks for that."

". . . I was surfing the web to find more information out about Earth day. We run an Equestrian center for terminally ill children and children with disabilities and we are hosting an Earth Day event, in which 52 children are coming to the ranch to plant trees and flowers and a pumpkin patch. I wanted to give the participants a gift so I thought peace signs and ecology buttons was a perfect gift.. I love your website and have told several teachers about it." -K2 Equestrian Center for terminally ill children

"Thank you continuing to chronicle these commemorations; I continue to be amazed what people have accomplished and tried to further peace." -Jacquie Steingold

"As a teacher, I can say with great certitude, that your Peace History has enriched my students' lives by preserving the collective memories of those people either not found in history textbooks or slighted- the peace makers. Blessed are they and you for remembering them and thus honoring them." - Ed Juillard, Chicago

'I have neglected to tell you that I have so much appreciation for the time and effort
you put into this Peace History. It is wonderful for us to get and wonderful to know that so many considerate people have struggled or noticed or thunk about what's right and what's good, and they have paved the way for the generations to come.
Thank you so much.

"I have been getting the Peace News for over three years now. It is great to have a resource to show my school age children the history of the movement to keep peace in all nations. My husband also uses some of the stories in his junior college level classroom teachings. Thank you." - K P Hometown, Illinois

"I'VE BEEN GETTING THE PEACE CALENDER FOR A LONG TIME, AND LOVE IT. I think someone may have forwarded it to me, and I signed up to get it. It's the best history book, and I wish school kids would use it as a resource. I've been wearing the peace button since the 1960's. Keep up the good work, Peace." - from Henderson, Nevada

"I’ve been receiving your newsletter for a little over a year and enjoy it very much. Thank you for the work you do. I’ve been thinking about you and just wanted to share some thoughts.
My children attend a school where we have a Peace Night every year. It’s usually the 2nd week of December. The purpose is to bring not only our school community together, but also to involve more of the public community as well. The children’s usually do a couple of performances, we have a silent auction, share a meal and there are several booths relating to promoting peace in one way or another. I’m thinking perhaps you’d like to be involved somehow. Perhaps donating something to the silent auction, or maybe I could offer your items for sale, or maybe both. My daughter receives tons of compliments whenever she wears your black T with the white peace sign. She’s 7 years old and in 3rd grade. We’ve also handed out several of your buttons and pencils..."

Thank you for including me on your list of people who receive the Peacebuttons "Peace History" e-mail publications.  I find them extremely informative and look forward to receiving them.
Since receiving the weekly newsletter, I've encouraged my children to read it and am delighted at their response.  At 12- (twins) and 10-years-of-age, they are starting to comprehend how important peace, love, and social justice can make the world a better place, even if, for the time being, their world pertains to school, a

playground, neighborhood, volleyball and basketball court.

We've discussed war, inequality, and humanitarian issues by using "This Week In History" as our guide.  Honestly, I don't think I would have thought to do so otherwise.
I believe it's my job to teach my children empathy, patience, and understanding.  And although this information is raw at times, it allows them to see the good and bad of real life as oppose to the fantasy 'reels' fed through television or some school books.

"Maybe it's just me, but this seems a particularly fine collection of events. So many different aspects of what we're all aspiring to and fighting for! Thanks...
